DRIVER ISSUED A THREE DAY SUSPENSION

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On April 19, 2014, just before 3:00 a.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped a motor vehicle on Grand Avenue in the City of Chatham.

While officers were speaking with the driver, it was determined that the driver had been consuming alcoholic beverages. A roadside test was completed which resulted in a warn range suspension.

The driver was served with a three day driver’s licence suspension.

Chatham-Kent OPP would like to remind drivers that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. If you consume alcoholic beverages, plan for a safe ride home by using a designated driver, a taxi or public transit to ensure that you and others sharing the road arrive safely.
