(HALIBURTON, ON) – On Saturday February 01, 2014 officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a R.I.D.E. check on Bobcaygeon Road at Water Street in the Township of Minden Hills, Ontario. A male driver was operating his 2005 GMC pickup when he was stopped by police at the check area. Blake LELAND age 30 from Pefferlaw Ontario was arrested for Possession of Marihuana and he then failed a roadside screening device test for alcohol. The accused was transported to the OPP detachment in Minden and provided samples of his breath which were over the legal limit of 80 milligrams. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden Ontario on March 05, 2014.
