(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A 20-year-old driver from Exeter was served with a three day driver’s licence suspension and two tickets after he was stopped for speeding on September 7, 2015. Just after 5:00 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spotted a Chrysler sedan speeding along London Road near Crediton Road.
Upon speaking with the driver officers noted he had been drinking. A roadside test resulted in the driver blowing a fail. He was arrested and transported to the Lucan OPP Detachment for breath tests. Upon providing his breath tests his Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) had lowered and was now in the warn range level. As a result, he was released from custody and served with a three day driver’s licence suspension. In addition, he was charged with speeding and Class G2 Licence Holder Drive with a BAC Above Zero.
