(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault/Child Abuse Section is investigating a sexual assault that occurred in the South end of Ottawa.
On Thursday, September 3, 2015 at approximately 8:10pm, a 16-year-old female was walking along McCarthy Road near Twyford Street when a male came up from behind, grabbed her by the hair and attempted to sexually assault her. The victim struck the suspect and was able to run away.
The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion possibly of Middle Eastern descent, thin build, black scruffy hair, 20-25 years of age, approximately 6′- 6’2 (183-188cm). He was wearing a Barcelona soccer jersey with a white collar and dark pants.
