(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On October 9, 2014 at approximately 11:28 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were patrolling along Wellington Road 39 near Wellington Road 30, Guelph-Eramosa Township. Police observed a 2011 Dodge pickup truck driving in an erratic manner. Officers investigated the male driver and believed him to be impaired by alcohol. He was arrested and transported to a local OPP Operations Centre for testing.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days as per statute.
Johnathon MCCONAGHY age 25 of Guelph has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 contrary to the Criminal Code. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on November 18, 2014 to answer to the charges.
