Donald B. MCKERACKER – Passed Out Behind The Wheel

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at approximately 2:22 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a possible impaired driver operating a white 2004 Pontiac Grand Am west bound on Main Street West, Markdale, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands after causing a disturbance at a local business.

The suspect had attended the Home Hardware store on Main Street in Markdale where he yelled and used profanities while at the store, causing staff and customers to believe that he may have been under the influence of alcohol.

Police located the suspect passed out in the driver’s seat of his vehicle which was parked in the driveway of his residence. Upon being awakened, the driver resisted arrest for impaired care and control of a motor vehicle. He was taken to the OPP Detachment for breath tests which he failed.

Donald B. MCKERACKER, 66, of the Municipality of Grey Highlands, is charged with

Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired, Care or Control Over 80 mgs, Causing a Disturbance and Resist Peace Officer.

He is scheduled to appear in Court in Owen Sound on Thursday, July 9, 2015.
