(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On December 3, 2014 the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic assault incident in Parry Sound.
Investigation revealed that a couple were at a private residence and began to argue over the male leaving the residence. During the argument the male was alleged to assault the female.
A 23 year old male was arrested and charged with the following offences.
Assault – Spousal contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code (CC).
Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm-Spousal contrary to Section 264.1(1)(a) of the CC.
The male was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on January 8, 2015.
