(Havelock Belmont Methuen Twp., ON) – On the evening of Friday, August 16, 2013 officers from the Peterborough County OPP received a report from a female advising she had been assaulted while at the Havelock Jamboree.
The 52 year old female and a 44 year old male suspect are involved in a relationship. On the Friday, the couple attended the Havelock Jamboree together sharing a campsite. At approximately 7:44 p.m. they became involved in a verbal argument that quickly became a physical altercation.
Peterborough County OPP, officers patrolling the Havelock Jamboree, were called to assist, and conduct an investigation.
As a result of the investigation a 44 year old male of Asphodel Norwood is charged with Assault.
The male, who cannot be identified, was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Provincial Courts in Peterborough on October 3, 2013.
