Disabled Car Turns Out To Be Stolen – BENNINGER Arrested

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) – On Monday December 26, 2016, shortly before 7 a.m., members of the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a disabled blue Honda Civic car near Line 37 and Perth Road 107 in the Township of Perth East.

Investigation revealed that the car had been previously reported stolen. Perth County OPP members attended the scene and located a male with the motor vehicle. He was subsequently arrested.

25 year-old Dustin BENNINGER of Haldimand County was charged with possession of stolen property over five thousand dollars and failing to comply with probation order. He was held for a bail hearing and was remanded into custody until he next appears at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on December 28, 2016.
