(Town of New Tecumseth, ON.) – On December 15, 2015 at 11:49am, an officer from the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol in the area of the 10th sideroad and 4th line of New Tecumseth when a red Ford Escort was seen travelling westbound on the 4th line what was thought to have no licence plates. As a result of a traffic stop, police learned that the driver was in fact suspended, driving alone with a G1 drivers licence and operating the motor vehicle without insurance. As a result of the investigation, a 36 year-old female from Tottenham was charged with the following Highway Traffic Act offences;
1. Entire plate not plainly visible
2. Drive while suspended
3. Owner – no insurance
4. Plate unauthorized
5. Use validation not furnished for vehicle
6. Expired validation tag
7. Fail to surrender permit
8. Fail to apply for permit
9. Operate unsafe vehicle
10. Class G1 unaccompanied
11. Fail to Notify Address Change
12. Fail to Notify Name Change
The accused will appear On February 10, 2015 in the Ontario Court of Justice in Churchill, ON to answer to her charges. These offences also led to having her vehicle towed and impounded.
