(INGERSOLL, ON.) – On July 5, 2015 at approximately 9:30 a.m. Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol observed a vehicle travelling northbound on Thames Street in Ingersoll with no front licence plate.
Police conducted a traffic stop and as a result of investigation, the male driver, 31 year old Derrick STORY of Ingersoll was charged with the following:
Drive while under suspension (2 counts) – Highway Traffic Act (HTA)
Obstruct plate – HTA
Fail to apply for permit on becoming owner – HTA
Operate a motor vehicle without insurance – Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act
Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000
Possession of a schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 grams – Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
The male was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock.
