On the evening of August 2nd, police were dispatched to Knights Inn Motel on County Road 43, North Grenville in response to a complaint under the Inn Keepers Act. Officers attended the suspect’s unit and while inside the unit observed a bag of marijuana. Additional marijuana was observed in an open drawer and the male was arrested for possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking. A short time later a warrant was executed on the unit and marijuana, a scale and cash was seized.
Derek Crowell, age 28 of North Grenville is charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking – under 3kg, possession of Tylenol 3 with codeine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. The accused will appear in Kemptville Court on September 4th, 2013.
