(SOUTHERN BRUCE COUNTY, ON) – The South Bruce OPP is continuing to investigate a number of deer/vehicle crashes across the detachment area. In the interest of public safety, the following information is being offered again to motorists:
o Deer are more active in the Spring and Fall
o They are powerful animals that can appear on the roadway with little or no warning
o Obey posted speed limits. Travelling at faster speeds reduces your time to react to hazards on the road
o Be extra vigilant when driving at dawn or dusk
o Constantly scan for hazards while you drive
o Always wear your seatbelt. It will protect you in a crash
