Copper Wire Stolen

(WALKERTON, ON) – On November 22nd, 2010 at 11:40 am, the South Bruce OPP received a report of a copper wire theft from a Westario Power fenced compound along Eastridge Road in Walkerton. Sometime between 5:00 pm on November 19th, 2010 and 7:00 am on November 22nd, 2010, entry was gained by damaging the fence at the rear of the compound.

4 reels were taken; each reel contains 50’ of stranded extra flex copper wire with clear plastic jacket used as a ground wire for the Westario Power service trucks. Replacement value for the stolen property is estimated to be $6,000. Anyone with information on this theft is asked to call the South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
