(Huron East, ON) Members of the Huron OPP are currently on scene of a deadly crash that has taken the life of one woman and sent a man to London by air ambulance.
Shortly after 3:30 pm today, a transport truck was travelling south on Hensall Road approaching Front Road. A pickup truck was also in the area travelling west on Front Road approaching the same intersection. The two vehicles collided in the intersection and came to rest in the southwest field.
The driver of the pickup truck, 52 year old Dianne KUEPFER of Perth East, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor trailer, a 64 year old Tillsonburg man, has been air lifted to the London Health Sciences Center with undetermined injuries.
The intersection will remain closed for several hours as OPP Technical Collision Investigators piece together the evidence. Motorists are being advised to stay away from that area as traffic will not be allowed through.
