(South Huron, ON) At approximately 2:30 am on October 3, 2010 a Huron OPP officer stopped a vehicle on Thames Road in South Huron after it was observed to be speeding. Upon speaking to the female driver, the officer developed the grounds to believe that the driver had been drinking alcohol. The officer read the demand for the driver to provide a roadside sample of her breath however the female refused. After being given an opportunity to change her mind, the driver continued to refuse.
As a result, Lauren VANECEK (26) of Mississauga has been charged with one count of Fail to Provide Breath Sample – Approved Screening Device. She will answer to her charge in the Ontario Court of Justice – Exeter on December 16, 2010. In addition, she was charged for her speeding offence. LP10267520
