On the 17th of February 2014, at approximately 9:30 pm, Constables Jonathan Bouchard and Leslie Hahn intercepted a black 2005 Mazda 3 while doing a RIDE checkpoint on Main Street East near John Street in the Town of Hawkesbury.
During the execution of the traffic stop, the driver was found in possession of illicit drugs. More than $1,600.00 of Cannabis marijuana (street value) was found and seized in the vehicle.
The driver, David POULIN LEMIEUX (25 yrs) of East-Hawkesbury was arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with section 5(2) Possession for the Purpose Schedule II under 3 kg -Cannabis Marijuana
He was later released and is scheduled to appear in court on February 5th in L’Orignal.
