One male was charged after police investigated a report of a possible impaired driver, and the male refused to provide a breath sample. Officers were patrolling the grounds of the Calabogie Blues and Rib fest on August 18 when they were approached about a possible impaired driver. Officers located the suspect vehicle and male driver who had been drinking. He refused to provide a sample of his breath, after officers made the lawful demand. David BAKER 53, of Ottawa was charged with refusing to provide a breath sample. He was released on an appearance notice for court in Renfrew on September 25. Provincial Constable Chris Colton investigated.
On August 20 at 10:23pm officers were dispatched to a collision on Robertson Dr in Whitewater Region where the passenger in one vehicle suffered minor injuries. Officers discovered the female driver of one vehicle had been drinking and she subsequently refused to provide a sample of her breath. Karen FRASER 53, of Westmeath was charged with refusing to provide a breath sample. She was released on an appearance notice for court in Pembroke on September 24. Provincial Constable Chris Colton investigated.
