(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment has charged a 29 year old male with several Criminal Code offences after being called to a King St., Hagersville, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Friday August 7th, 2015 at approximately 10:50 pm Police were called to the parking lot of the Lawson House Bar after a physical confrontation occurred possibly involving a Conducted Energy Weapon (CEW). While enroute to the call Police were provided with a description of the suspect and the vehicle he was driving. As Police were approaching the Lawson House Bar the suspect vehicle was observed and subsequently stopped.
While speaking with the driver of the vehicle signs of impairment by an alcoholic beverage was detected which resulted in his arrest.
A Conducted Energy Weapon was also located and seized.
Charged with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle, Driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol, Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon, Careless Use of a Weapon is 29 year old Daryl FROBEL of Haldimand County, ON. He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga, ON at a later date.
