(DEEP RIVER, ON) – Today, October 22, 2013, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Renfrew County Crime Unit, under the direction of OPP Detective Inspector Rob Hagerman, Criminal Investigation Branch, arrested and charged a Pembroke, Ontario man in relation to historical sexual offences.
Police launched an investigation into a complaint that a teenage male had been assaulted by a priest between 1970 and 1972, in Deep River.
As a result of the investigation, 69-year-old Daniel MILLER, has been charged with:
1. Gross Indecency
2. Indecent Assault – Male
He was released on a Promise to Appear and an officer-In-Charge Undertaking with conditions to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke on November 26, 2013.
