Crispin CHAPMAN – Trafficking

(Oro-Medonte, ON) – Officers from the Barrie detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a motorist with drug possession and trafficking as a result of a R.I.D.E. spot check in Oro-Meonte Twp.

On December 12th 2013 shortly after 2:00pm, officers conducting R.I.D.E. on Old Barrie Rd stopped a motor vehicle. Upon approaching the vehicle the officer observed a bottle of liquor on the side of the driver’s door and further investigation yielded marihuana and cocaine. Approximately one pound of marihuana and a half a pound of cocaine were seized.

Crispin CHAPMAN 35 years, of Orillia, was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). The accused is scheduled to appear today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie.
