Criminals Get Free Weapons In Ingersoll

(INGERSOLL, ON) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred on Witty Avenue in Ingersoll.

Sometime between 12:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on December 27, 2015, suspect(s) entered the unlocked garage and stole two pellet/air guns. The air/pellet guns are both .77 calibre and are described as follows:

Slavia model rifle style, Black and Brown in colour

Sears USA rifle style with scope attached, Black and Brown in colour

Also taken was a box of approximately 500 rounds of pellet ammunition.

The Oxford OPP is continuing to investigate the theft.

The OPP is asking residents to be vigilant in recognizing suspicious people or vehicles that are in your neighborhoods. It is important for this information to get to police when the suspects may still be in the area.
