(ADELAIDE METCALFE, ON) – On October 21, 2016, at approximately 4:39 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police observed a white Volkswagen car travelling at a high rate of speed on Centre Road.
The vehicle was stopped near Egremont Drive. Police determined that the 36-year-old male driver was in possession of a controlled substance and he was placed under arrest.
As a result of the police investigation, Courtney PATTERSON, from London, Ontario, has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA). He was further charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on December 2, 2016.
