(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – The Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) executed a search warrant at a Kirkfield area residence yesterday. A number of OPP specialty units assisted with the search that uncovered firearms and just under 200 marihuana plants.
Arrested and charged with the following offences are:
Donna SHELDRAKE, 53 years of age of Stouffville:
Produce a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis marihuana contrary to section 7(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis marihuana contrary to section 4(1) CDSA
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm contrary to section 91(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC)
Careless Storage of a Firearm contrary to section 86(1) of the CCC
This accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on October 22, 2015.
John BOLENDER, 60 years of age of Stouffville:
Produce a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis marihuana contrary to section 7(1) of the CDSA
Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis marihuana contrary to section 4(1) CDSA
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm contrary to section 91(1) of the CCC
Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon contrary to section 91(2) of the CCC
Careless Storage of a Firearm contrary to section 86(1) of the CCC
Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited contrary to Section 117.01(1) of the CCC (3 counts)
This accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
