(GUELPH-ERMAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On July 30, 2016 at approximately 10:16 a.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar speed enforcement and monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 124 near Wellington Road 29 in Guelph Eramosa-Township. The officer observed a male driving a 2012 Buick eastbound at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 110 km/h in an 60 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
37-year-old Cory SOULIERE of Brant County has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on September 7, 2016 to answer to the charge.
