Corey AUSTIN – Drunk Driving

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – The driver of an early morning crash on May 1, 2014 is now facing a charge of Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams Alcohol.

On May 1, 2014 at 3:30 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Huron County EMS and Goderich Fire Department personnel responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Black’s Point Road near Huron Road.

The driver of a Dodge Ram pickup was travelling eastbound on Black’s Point Road when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. His vehicle left the roadway and struck a hydro pole on the east side of the road.

The driver sustained serious injuries in the collision.

Corey AUSTIN, 32, from Central Huron has been charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice on August 18, 2014. His driver’s license was also suspended for an automatic 45 days.
