(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – A construction worker performing the duties of a flag person was struck by a vehicle on Highway 141 in Seguin Township on July 23 2014. The driver stopped for a brief moment which ensued in a short verbal argument before he fled the scene. The construction worker suffered from minor injuries.
The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an investigation into the matter. Police arrested and charged John SAVAGE, 63 years of age from Huntsville, with Fail to Stop at Scene of an Accident, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He will attend the Ontario Court of Justice Parry Sound on August 21, 2014.
Police would like to remind motorists to slow down while travelling through a construction zone. Be extra cautious to your surroundings and those that are working in that area.
