(Ottawa, ON) –The Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is currently investigating an incident that occurred on Highway 417.
At approximately 1:45 pm, the Moodie Drive overpass was struck on Highway 417 westbound. A flat bed tractor trailer was carrying construction equipment which hit the Moodie overpass. The equipment then fell onto the highway. The equipment was been removed from the highway and all lanes of traffic are opened.
The Ministry of Transportation will be attending the scene to inspect the overpass.
The collision in under investigation and the OPP is asking anyone who may have any information about this incident to contact the OPP at 613-270-9171.
