(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is advising of a collision on Highway 401 westbound where Highway 403 ends involving a single motor vehicle rollover. The collision occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m. on July 1, 2014.
Life threatening injuries reported to the lone male driver, who was airlifted to area hospital.
Highway 401 westbound is closed between Highway 2 and Highway 59. Highway 403 remains open with reduced lanes due to the collision investigation.
OPP and other emergency vehicles are on the scene and are advising motorists to slow down , obey all road closure signs and be cautious in that area for at least several hours.
Cause of the collision is still under investigation.
