On February 15, 2014 at 4:40 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Victoria Road and Cassino Avenue to investigate a collision. It is alleged that a northbound Hyudai Sonata made a left turn at Cassino Avenue from Victoria Road. A pick-up truck southbound on Victoria Road struck the passenger side of the Hyundai sending both vehicles through a residential fence at the southwest corner of the intersection. The two occupants of the Hyundai and four occupants of the pick-up including two children under three years old were taken to the Guelph General Hospital for treatment. All occupants were later released after suffering only minor injuries. The 44-year-old female driver of the Hyundai has been charged with turn – not in safety under the Highway Traffic Act.
