(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On April 19, 2014 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information related to a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner on Highway 35 near Highway 7A. An officer was able to locate and stop the vehicle.
The officer determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol. As a result, the driver, Cliff BROOMER, 39 years of age, of Orono, was arrested and charged with the offence of impaired driving and driving a motor vehicle with more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on May1, 2014.
