(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Saturday January 17th, 2015, Quinte West OPP responded to a shoplifting complaint at Smylie’s Independent Grocer on Dundas Street East in the City of Quinte West. Police arrested a 20 year old male after he concealed some store merchandise on him and proceeded to leave the store without paying for it. The merchandise was valued at $16.99.
Clancy THOMPSON of Trenton has been charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Failing to Comply with a Court Order. The accused was released on a Promise to Appear with a first appearance date of February 26th, 2015, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville, ON.
