(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a motorist with a drinking and driving offence over the course of the weekend.
On the 12th of July 2014, at approximately 7:30pm, police received a traffic complaint about a possible impaired driver in the area of Poplar Sideroad and Beachwood Road in the Town of Collingwood. Police located the vehicle a short time later and conducted a vehicle stop during which it was found that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. He was subjected to a roadside breath test which resulted in a ‘fail’ reading and as such he was transported to Collingwood detachment for processing.
Charged is 58 year-old Chuck WALTON of Collingwood, he is facing a charge of driving with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in bloo and is to appear in Collingwood court on the 29th of July 2014.
