Chatham Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman wanted on an outstanding warrant.
On January 17, 2013, police found the woman in possession of a stolen bike on Thames Street in Chatham. The woman was arrested and charged with being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She was released from custody pending a future court date and the bike was returned to its owner. The value of the bike was approximately $500.
On March 5, 2013 and May 15, 2013, the woman failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Shortly after 7:00 a.m. yesterday morning, the 29-year-old Chatham woman turned herself into police headquarters. She was arrested and transported to court pending a bail hearing.
