Update to Robbery in Tilbury

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a third party in connection with a robbery that occurred in Tilbury last week.

As previous reported, on August 15, 2013, police responded to a residence on Queen Street North in regards to a robbery. The victim, a 24-year-old Tilbury man, was assaulted and his cash and cell phone were stolen during the incident. The victim did not require medical treatment. This was not a random act of violence.

At the time, a 47-year-old Tilbury man and 50-year-old Tilbury man were arrested and charged with robbery.

Around 5:30 p.m. last night, officers from the Windsor Police Service arrested a 21-year-old Belle River woman also wanted in connection with this incident. The woman was transported to CKPS headquarters and has been charged with robbery and failing to comply with release conditions. The woman has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
