The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 131 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Six people were arrested.
Man Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK15018671
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.
On July 10, 2014 around 2:15 a.m. an officer on general patrol observed the man acting suspiciously in the area of McNaughton Avenue and Reaume Avenue in Wallaceburg. Through investigation, the man was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, however he fled on foot before being taken into custody. Attempts were made to locate the man, however when unsuccessful, a warrant for drug possession was issued.
Yesterday morning, officers located the man in Wallaceburg and he was arrested following a short foot chase. The 23-year-old Walpole Island man was transported to the court house pending a bail hearing.
Woman Charged with Public Mischief CK15018686
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman for using a fraudulent document.
On June 4, 2015 the woman was released from custody with several conditions. Two of those conditions stated that she was to reside at a specific address in Chatham and obey a daily curfew of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
On June 16, 2015 at 10:25 p.m. an officer attended the address and learned that the woman was not living there. As a result, a warrant for two counts of failing to comply was issued. On June 17, 2015, the woman attended police headquarters and provided police with a hospital note stating that she was in the Emergency Department for medical treatment when officers attended the home. Through investigation, police determined that the note was fraudulent in nature.
Yesterday morning, officers located the woman and she was taken into custody. The 29-year-old Chatham woman was additionally charged with public mischief and uttering a forged document. She was transported to the court house pending a bail hearing.
Stolen Vehicle CK15018793
Sometime late last night or early this morning, unknown suspect(s) stole a grey 2013 Toyota Tacoma truck bearing Ontario licence plates AH9 9260 from a residence on Orangewood Boulevard in Chatham.

Traffic Enforcement
Yesterday, officers conducted traffic enforcement in the area of Sixteenth Line in Raleigh Township, Victoria Street in Thamesville and Erieau Road in Harwich Township. Eight motorists were stopped and charged with speeding and insurance related offences.

Community Luncheon: Join us today for our CKPS / East Side Pride Community Luncheon. Free soup and sandwiches will be served at the WISH Centre on King Street East in Chatham between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
Charity Softball Game: Today, members of the CKPS will be playing in a Charity Softball Game against students from St. Clair College. The first pitch will be thrown at 12:00 p.m. at the baseball diamond near St. Clair College. Everyone is invited to come out and cheer on the teams. Admission is only 2 canned goods which will be donated.
