On June 23, 2015 the Guelph Police Drug Enforcement Unit entered into a cocaine trafficking investigation at the Super 8 Motel on Woodlawn Road. As a result of this investigation three people were arrested on June 25, 2015. A search warrant was executed at the Motel and a small quantity of drugs as well as a prohibited weapon were located.
A 51-year-old Guelph man has been charged with possession of prohibited weapon, possession of a controlled substance (CDSA) and breach of recognizance. He remains in custody pending a bail hearing on June 26, 2015.
Raymond PYE, 48 years of Halifax, NS, has been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance. He will appear in court on August 7, 2015.
The third person was released without charges.
