The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 107 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested.
Man Charged with being in Possession of a Prohibited Weapon CK16038682
Early this morning, around 3:30 a.m. police responded to the area of Wellington Street in Chatham in regards to a suspicious man pushing over garbage bins. An officer on general patrol located the man causing a disturbance on the front porch of a residence and he was arrested. Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was found to be in possession of a switch blade.
Through investigation, police learned that the man was currently bound by two different court orders each with a condition not to possess a prohibited weapon.
Mark List, 33 years, of King Street in Chatham was charged with being in possession of a prohibited weapon and two counts of disobeying a court order. He was released pending a future court date of December 6, 2016.
Break and Enter in Chatham CK16038627
Sometime between Saturday night at 11:30 p.m. and Sunday morning at 5:20 a.m. unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked garage on Sherwood Court. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a white 27” Diadora 18 speed mountain bike, a purple and grey 27” Nakamura mountain bike, an 18 volt Hitachi cordless drill set and two RC 4×4 remote control cars. Total value of the theft has been estimated at $1300.

Break and Enter in Wallaceburg CK16038631
Sometime between November 12, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. and November 13, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. unknown suspect(s) entered a garage on Poplar Street and stole a black and green 2014 Kawasaki 85cc dirt bike.

Motor Vehicle Collision CK16038607
Yesterday afternoon around 12:45 p.m. police responded to a two vehicle collision on Reaume Avenue near Murray Street in Wallaceburg.
No one was injured. Total damage was estimated at $8000.
A 40-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with an offence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
