Chatham-Kent Daily News Release – 13Nov2016

The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to 116 calls for service in the last 24 hours. Two people were arrested.

Break and Enter in Pain Court – CK16038481

Sometime overnight between November 11 and November 12, 2016, unknown suspects forced their way into a storage unit located in an apartment building on Winterline Road. Once inside suspects removed a number of Mastercraft brand tools.

Break and Enter near Bothwell – CK16038478

Sometime overnight between November 11 and November 12, 2016, unknown suspects forced their way into a residence located on Longwoods Road near Bothwell. Once inside suspects removed a cash register containing Canadian currency.

Fire in Dresden – CK16038536

Last night shortly after 7:00 PM, Police and Fire responded to a structure fire on Richmond Street in Dresden. No injuries occurred and the fire was deemed not suspicious. Total property loss was estimated at $350,000.

Fire in Chatham – CK16038574

At approximately 4:45 AM this morning, Police and Fire responded to a structure fire on Edgar Street in Chatham. Police and Fire are still on scene and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Motor Vehicle Collision – CK16038493

At approximately 2:30 PM yesterday, Police responded to a two vehicle collision on Talbot Trail near Blenheim. No injuries were reported. Total damage was estimated at $5000.

A 41 year old Erie Beach man has been charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
