Charles BAYNTON – Drunk Driving

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On July 26, 2014 at approximately 9:53 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were patrolling Highway 6 southbound near Wellington Road 38 in Guelph-Eramosa Township when they observed a 2002 Ford pick-up truck travelling southbound in front of them that was being operated in an erratic manner.

Police stopped the motor vehicle and spoke with the driver and determined that he had been drinking and showed obvious signs of impairment.

The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle impounded for seven days.

Charles BAYNTON aged 41 of Guelph has been charged with Impaired Driving, Over 80 MGS contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and Novice Drive BAC Above Zero contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on August 26, 2014 to answer to the charges.
