(KINGSVILLE, ON)— The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Kingsville pulled over a vehicle on January 24, 2016 at approximately 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Essex County Road 20 and Essex County Road 45 in Ruthven.
The female operator of the red Chevrolet immediately began to argue with the officer and became enraged. She struck the officer while still in her vehicle and tried to drive away from him, before he was able to remove the vehicle ignition keys and stop the vehicle from moving.
She was arrested at the scene.
Charlene LAMB, age 39 of Leamington was charged with Obstruct Peace Officer and Assault Peace Officer. She will appear in a Windsor court on March 2, 2016 to answer to the charges.
