(DRYDEN, ON.) -The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Dryden Detachment is asking for the public’s help in relation to a recent crime committed in the Dryden area. The Hydro One compound located just west of the city on Highway 17 was entered over the weekend and numerous items were stolen. If anyone has any information related to this incident they are asked to contact the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police at (807) 937-5577 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
The Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have arrested and charged three people in relation to this theft. Tyler MARION (28years old) Robert HUTCHISON (37yrs old) and Darren BURNARD (24years old) all from Dryden have been charged with Possession of property under 5000.00 contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code and Break and Enter contrary to section 348 (1)(b) of the Criminal Code. All have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court on September 9, 2013 to answer to the charge. Most of the property has been recovered. Anyone with further information of the outstanding property is asked to contact the OPP.
