(LAIRD TOWNSHIP, ON) – On August 9, 2014 at approximately 7:30 pm Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic incident in Laird Township.
It is alleged that a female received non-life threatening injuries after being physically assaulted by her boyfriend.
As a result of further police investigation a nineteen year old male was arrested and charged with five counts of Assault and four counts of Breach of Probation contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The male is being held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on August 11, 2014.
