(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On March 13, 2015 at approximately 7:33 p.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting moving radar and monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Side Road 15 in Centre Wellington Township. A female driving a 2010 Ford was observed travelling southbound well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at 146 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
Her driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Caitlin HAYES age 31 of Wellington North Township has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. She is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on May 20, 2015 to answer the charge.
