Brock CLAPP – Break, Enter and Theft

(Havelock Belmont Methuen Township, ON) – On Tuesday January 7, at approximately 8:30 p.m., members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to investigate a report of a report of a male breaking into a gas station on Ottawa Street in Havelock.

Police investigation revealed that a male customer had attended the restaurant that is adjacent to the Esso Gas station on Ottawa Street. The male made the pretext of making a purchase from the restaurant then used a rear exit of the business to gain access to the closed Esso station.

Store employees became aware of the break in to the business, and confronted the male who then fled the Esso station.

The suspect fled the scene leaving behind a quantity of stolen cigarettes and other items.

Police were called and an investigation was conducted.

As a result of the investigation 18 year old Brock CLAPP of Vansickle Road was arrested for Break Enter and Theft.

CLAPP was released from custody, and is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Courts on 27 February 2014.
