BREAK AND ENTER SUSPECT APPREHENDED AFTER FOOT CHASE

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), officers were called for a break and enter to a residence in the community of Glen Morris, County of Brant.

At approximately 10:47 a.m. Tuesday March 18th, 2014 officers were advised that a suspect was seen leaving a residence and was travelling on a bicycle. County of Brant OPP officers attended the scene and requested the assistance of the Waterloo Regional Police Service. A short time later, officers located the male suspect and a foot chase ensued. The suspect ran north towards Cambridge and at one point crossed the Grand River. Officers contacted the Waterloo Regional Fire Department who attended with a boat to assist. After a lengthy foot chase the male was apprehended near Cambridge.

Christopher DVOROZNAK 33 years of age from Waterloo Region is facing the following charges

Break and Enter Dwelling House
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.00

The accused is currently being held in custody awaiting a bail hearing at the Brantford Provincial Court.
