(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment is investigating a break and enter at a Norton St., Cayuga, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Sunday September 1st, 2013 at approximately 9:45 am a 71 year old female Norton St resident was asleep in her bedroom when she heard footsteps in the hallway. Upon investigating the sounds she located an unknown male in her home. She yelled at the male who then fled the residence.
Investigation revealed that the suspect was able to gain access to the home through an unlocked back entrance door. It appears that no items were stolen from the home.
The suspect is described as:
White male
Approximately 30 years of age
Short blonde hair
Thin build
He was last seen wearing blue “T†shirt, and blue pants.
Home owners are reminded to keep their homes locked at all times.
