(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Wednesday September 17th, 2014, at 8:00pm the Quinte West OPP were called to investigate a residential break and enter on Downs Road. The break and enter occurred between the afternoon hours on Sunday September 14th, 2014 and the early evening on Wednesday September 17th, 2014. The unknown person(s) gained entry in to the residence and ransacked the master bedroom. A gun safe was forced open; however, no firearms were removed. The suspect(s) did steal a large quantity of jewelry and two Canadian passports. A dollar amount of the stolen jewelry has not yet been determined. The investigation is continuing.
