(TINY TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Thursday November 12, 2015 at 7:02 p.m. an officer from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was travelling at 141 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
The motor vehicle was stopped and the male driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested by police. The vehicle was impounded for 7 days and the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.
Braydon COWEN (age 24) of Tiny Township, ON had been charged with:
– Operate Motor Vehicle with more than 80 mgs. Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Midland Ontario on November 26, 2015.
The accused has also been charged with the following Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence Act offences:
– Stunt Driving
– Speeding
– Drive while under suspension
– Drive motor vehicle with liquor readily available
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Penetanguishene, Ontario on December 17, 2015.
