(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Tuesday February 14th, 2017, at approximately 8:30pm officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information about a possible impaired driver on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road.
Officer located the motor vehicle on Belleville Road near Stirling. After speaking to the driver of the motor vehicle it was determined that his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. During the arrest officers also located marijuana.
Brandon NOBES, 23, of Stirling has been charged with:
Care and Control Over 80mgs, Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code
Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Marihuana – under 30grams, Section 4(1) of The Controlled Drugs and Substance Act
The male was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice Belleville on March 9th, 2017.
